For Abrieb I_Enthüllung (Abrasion I_Unveil-

ing), Jeewi Lee removed a rectangular shape from the

wall of an exhibition space, layer by layer. First, she

skimmed the paint and laid the worn white sheet on the

floor in front of her intervention. Only then did she peel

off the wallpaper and let it hang down, still connected

to the wall. The dimensions of the exposed bare surface

corresponded to the size of a window that had been

bricked up to create more exhibition space. The artist

symbolically opened it again
